Floyd is a second year student alongside his twin brother Jade, and their long standing ‘friend’ Azul Ashengrotto, at Night Raven College. All three are members of Octavinelle Dorm, as well as active owner/staff members of Mostro Lounge. All three are merfolk who come from the Coral Sea, taking on humanoid forms while on land, but with the ability to transform back into their natural forms; in the Leech brothers’ case, into eel-like mermen. Floyd is a semi-active member of the school’s basketball club, a semi capable student in classes when he wants to be or ‘feels like it’, and equally semi productive member of staff at the Lounge, again if he feels like it. All of the above depends greatly on his mood, which has the ability to switch randomly and wildly at any point, and is totally unpredictable to guess, even by those closest to him.
He can be seen as a student around the school during the first two chapters of the game and other game events (and other media, including the mangas), however he becomes part of the spotlight during Chapter Three. He’s shown as a loyal bodyguard type role to Azul, acting more as the muscle out of the twins, and always happy to ‘squeeze’ anyone who gets in their way or thinks to go against the trio. He appears to work purely by Azul’s word at first, however as the game goes on it shows that Azul more has to learn to manage Floyd and his ever shifting moods, learning when he could be used well (in the Lounge or to put pressure on others to get what he wants), and when to just let Floyd do his own thing so he doesn’t cause issues by getting bored or angry at Azul’s orders.
We see the three of them work well in sync together, but also able to push each other boundaries and to expect suitable payment for working with the others; for Floyd this is rarely of the monetary type, though he does have quite the taste for fashion which requires a suitable income for. More often he prefers easy to get physical items like candy, or access to information like notes for a class he forgot to study for. Or in the case of Chapter Four when Azul requires the use of Floyd’s Unique Magic, to trade it for Azul giving him a deeper voice. To which Floyd was very happy to have, even if only temporary.
As the main story goes on as well as side events, we discover that Floyd is not as unintelligent as he may come across as at times, able to point out aspects that others miss, or even able to take a guess at the correct answer to what is happening that others may not consider. This is however still paired with him doing what he wants when he wants, no matter the consequences, even if they may be dangerous; such as hitting a mystery button during the second Halloween Event, resulting in both calling guards and setting off a timer for a countdown to a possible explosion. It is difficult to tell if he knows what he is doing, but it’s certainly implied that he does, but just doesn’t care as long as it’s entertaining to him.
As of his canon point he is pulled from, Floyd was supposed to be helping set up the school for the VDC event, however was sent away by the basketball president due to not feeling like helping and getting in the way. He is later seen during the performance events enjoying the show and wanting to dance and sing too, only to reveal he was supposed to be selling drinks at the entrance to the event for Azul, but got bored and left them to come and watch the show instead.

I mean… I wouldn’t be, ya know~? If it’s a normal island with water around it. I would just swim away! But if it’s an island surrounded by… I donno… lava, or acid, or something weird that isn’t water, hmmm… I guess…
Oh! A whole box of canned takoyaki! I like that type for when I don’t wanna cook but really craving it. And then, hmm, what else?
This is a stupid question, you know? How would it even happen? And why would it only be three things? I guess I could use my magic to do a lot of stuff, like making fire to cook stuff, and cutting down stuff if need a shelter or something.
But nahhh, I would just swim away~! Lots of food in the sea, though if I donno where I am I guess I would just have to go to some land until I found people to find out where I was. Oh, and to watch out for sharks and other big stuff in the ocean. And if I was swimming away I can’t take stuff unless it’s waterproof or it’ll get ruined. So… nahh, I would just leave.
What kind of characteristics do you believe makes someone a hero? Do you have one? Why or why not?
Pffttt! Who wants to be a hero? Why would you bother? Doing stuff for people who won’t really appreciate it and turn their back on you the moment you’re not useful to them? Anyone who wants to be a hero is a moron, all that’ll happen is you’ll get taken advantage of. Then again, if someone does it knowing that, then they deserve it.
It’s better just to do what you want~! Who cares what other people think? Anyone who wants to be a hero is just doing it for others to like them anyways, and that makes them just as selfish as the people they say they’re helping. They’re doing it to make themselves feel good and look like they’re better than everyone else.

Like right now? Hmm, I mean, a piece of candy would be nice right now, so maybe I would wish for some candy. Those hard mint ones. Like the ones we get at the school store.
Next… I would wish for Azul to give me more time off from working, but even a genie couldn’t make that happen, heee~! And he would be real mad at me if I wished for the Lounge to be less busy so I could sit around and do nothing. But that could be funny to see him get all angry about it.
And third… Ugh! For Jade to stop bringing mushrooms back when he goes on his silly nature walks. I don’t get why he likes them so much. And why he has to use them in cooking when he gets them! I don’t want them! They’re gross!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change and why?
Deep voice! I want my deep voice back~! Haaaa~! I know Azul needed my Unique Magic to take on Jamil, but I’m real glad I got to have my voice all low and deep with his contract magic. I wish I got to keep it… I sounded so cool, heeeehhhhh~. I think I would had preferred that over my magic. Jade says its better I got it back, but I donno~, I get to talk all the time, I don’t get to use my Unique Magic all the time, you know?
So yeah… I would change my voice to be deeper.
Describe the scariest thing you've ever done. Why did you do it? Would you do it again?
…when Azul overblotted. And we had to beat him up to stop him.
I mean… was kinda fun to get a chance to smack him around~… but… I didn’t know if we could win and get him back. Or if he would die. It’s been Jade and me for ages, but Azul’s part of us now… even if we say he has to be fun to keep us around, and he likes to boss me around, and yells at me, but… it’s been the three of us for ages now.
And if he died, then…
… I didn’t want that to happen.
Would I do it again? I mean… yeah, I gotta, it’s Azul. Then againnn~. If it was him he wouldn’t do it unless he was getting something outta it.
